Blooms v0.2.2 - What's New?

 


We are always looking at ways we can improve the website to maximise the satisfaction of our community. Please read the list below to find out new features that have been added.


Increased Collaboration in the Question Feed
Users now have the ability to up/down vote any answer on any question. Answers will be displayed in order of their score, meaning that the most useful answers will be displayed first, instead of in chronological order. Even if the original questioner forgets about the question, the community can imply which answers are most helpful to anyone else who opens the question dialog. Each up-vote will increase the user score of the teacher who answered, meaning that even answers not marked as correct can help increase your score.


Question Feed Filters
Our new filters allow you to further tailor your news feed to how you are feeling in any given scenario. Feel like increasing your user score and contributing to the community? Tick "only show unanswered questions" and get helping. Want to check whether a question you are thinking of posting has already been asked? Select the relevant filters and check out the results.


Resource Levels
It is now possible to increase your resource level by uploading resources that are downloaded by many other users (on top of increasing your 'resource score'). We are looking at other ways we can reward our best contributors, but in the meantime your daily upload/download limits will increase in proportion to your resource level.


Additional Notification
Each unanswered question now has a small box in the dialog that will allow you to tick any question you want to know the answer to. As soon as the questioner has marked one of the answers as correct, you will receive a notification to take you back there and see the answer.

Weekly, monthly and all-time leader boards for user and resource scores. Check out how your contributions to the community compare to others and try and reach the top!

v0.3 - Bloom's Connect
Allowing teachers to 'follow' one another to further personalise their news feed and be notified if their favoured educators have uploaded new resources.



Minor improvements in the works:

1. Allowing users to upload resources directly on a status/question.
2. View all of a teacher's uploaded resources on their profile.
3. Counter on the home-page to show how many teachers have signed up and the number of resources in the resource bank.
